the swallows have arrived at last- darting, swooping and screaming across the summer skies…

they are late - but no less welcome

going into a quieter time of garden, with the sadness that soon we will be tidying and putting the garden to sleep…..

so its fantastic, isnt it, to be picking the late summer flowers, dahlias, still full of vibrant gloriousness………….

and there is still the promise of next year………. :-)
